Introduction
Some people face difficulty to dry their shoes when it is rainy day or overcast weather. Normally, people need to dry their shoes under the sun light but it is possible when the weather comes to raining or wet condition. Thus, the main objective to create this product is to overcome the problem.
This product also can decrease the time taken to dry the shoes. Dri-Les is portable and lightweight so that it is easy to carry everywhere such as home and office. The material of this shoe dryer is completely eco-friendly. For example, diatomaceous earth is a kind of natural mineral raw material. The shoes can be drained of water in a short time, and raw material are flexible enough to be shaped by the biological 3d printer. It can degrade after use; have the capability of being repeatedly used, and long residual action.
Concept
We drew the shoe stretcher part based on the shape of the people's foot.
Prototype
We thought that our product, Dri-Les, had to be made from the material which is environmentally friendly, renewable and with the high water-absorbing quality, so we spent a lot of time doing research and experiments to test our materials.
Finally, we decided to use algae as well as seaweed soil as our raw material to make the shoe stretcher, and the shoe bag part is made of textile cloth with strong water absorption and quick drying features.
We use sea blue color as the main color of our products, because blue represents "safety, calmness and nature". When people use our products, we hope they will feel relieved and satisfied. At the same time, we advocate the sustainable lifestyle, people can reuse our product for many years.
